History 

Akuna Brewery started brewing in 2005 at Mona Vale on the Northern Beaches of Sydney, Australia and quickly attracted a good local following as word spread.  As the industry began to expand and micro brewed beer became more accessible, head brewer and owner Greg Facer wanted to develop something more unique and adventurous,  to produce something refreshing and lively that actually had a 'taste' of the Northern Beaches and represented the best of Sydney life. 

Over a 12 month period Greg has researched and developed their new flagship brands - Akuna Blue and Akuna Gold - two refreshingly different alcoholic ginger beers.  Both use real Buderim ginger and have no preservatives for a fresh and lively taste whilst Akuna Blue has the added zing of fresh lemons to give a softer and more subtle ginger flavour/
